Movement Breaks

Last night, we decided to have a movement break at home. As the seasons change and it gets dark earlier, and the weather becomes colder, we naturally spend less time outdoors. However, our daughter still has a lot of energy that needs to be expended somehow. So, we opted for a Halloween-themed movement break by playing it on the TV. If you haven't tried this at home, simply search "Movement Break" online to find a variety of topics and age-appropriate options. We selected the game "The Floor is Lava" and a Halloween-themed dance inspired by Wednesday from the Addams Family. Engaging in these activities helped our daughter burn off some energy, making it easier to manage the bedtime routine and ensuring she got some much-needed exercise.
