Blog: The Beginning

My blog will be dedicated to a wide variety of topics centered around kids and who/what/when/where/why/how they play. Many of the entries will be about observations of my daughter as she grows through her playing experiences. Please note that my observations are through a lens which includes 25 years of coaching at all levels, 8 years of teaching in public schools and 15 years as a coach educator. In no way is my perspective "more accurate" than others but it is "more unique" than most. The end-game for me is to provide some thoughts that can be reflected upon and questions that can be pondered...and maybe help you in your environment as a parent, coach or educator recognize how important it is for kids to play.
